PEN, MEET PAPER

Obviously, this blog won’t be updated anymore.

So, I went through this stage as a teenager… kind of a mom’s worst nightmare kind of stage. I was all angsty and brooding over every little thing. I’m sure it drove my parents nuts. Anyway, that’s during the time when I was writing up a storm. I wrote about everything. Not so much blogging, but poems and stories and the like. I was looking through an old notebook tonight and found an old poem that I wrote back in 2003. I was 16 at the time. It’s dark and gory and so far from how life actually was that I laugh everytime I read it. Still, I think it’s no that bad. Read:

Anger brewed deep within the pits of hell

Bred and release onto the innocent they burn and melt

Screams of torture and misery sound loud

Blood seeps down far; its stench foul

Confusion erupts and burning are those of lies

Questions explode; ones we cannot answer or justify

At thy lips lies a silent scream

And finally we find, things aren’t what they seem.
