Hi, Hi, Pumpkin Pie

Ah, a blog. Oh how I’ve longed to have one of these over the past couple of months. A weight so profound has suddenly been lifted from my shoulders and I feel like a teenager again with my nose pressed against the monitor and reading/writing my days away.

One could wish.

So here’s the dealio. I’m sticking with “Mizzy” as my name because that’s pretty much what I’ve used since I was 14 in the blog/website/et cetera divisions of the WWW. So yeah, hi, Mizzy here. You can call me Kim, Kimmie, Kimbo if you’d like, whatever. I’m not picky, but I will be signing blogs with ‘Mizzy’.

I’m home, in Maryland, visiting family for a while. DH (internet lingo for ‘dear husband’, or as I first thought ‘ dumb husband’ or ‘dick head’), Lorelai, and I moved to Houston, TX a little over a month ago. We have our own crib — or we will have our own crib — but it needs some major work. So I’m here visiting while my husband enjoys his time with his familia, works on our place.

And boy do I realize the difference between being ‘comfortable’ and being insatiably MISERABLE. His family drives me freaking NUTS. No, not really. His parents are nice. His oldest sister is nice, and I like his three younger siblings. But his second-eldest sister makes me want to claw my eyeballs out and run blindly into rush-hour traffic on the freeway. We shall call her Olga. More will come on her later.

Deary, how excited I am that you are back. You’re like a 10 hour drive or something away. If gas wasn’t like $4 a gallon I’d attempt a visit.

Are you at least liking Houston? I guess the photography is better, right?

I’ve missed you oh so much, Buttercup!

Mizzy, of course I remember you! I was wondering where you went. So you’re living in Houston, now? That’s about five hours away from me. I’ll be there this Friday on a layover to Chicago to see my husband. :)

I hope you’re having a great time in Maryland! You must post up newer pictures of Lorelai! I haven’t seen her since she was born!

I have so missed your words, dear girl!!! I was so excited to see your comment on my site. And I know the feeling all too well of missing the blogging universe. It has a way of rewinding the clock, doesn’t it? I hope to read much, much more from you soon.

    Love you doll!
